Affordable Curly Hair Products You Need To Buy Now

If you've spent a bomb on curly hair products and are looking to go easy on the pocket, you're at the right place!

After over a year and a half of experimenting with products, I've come to a conclusion that you don't need to overspend to get great results.

Before we start, my method is not CG friendly. However, I've been following this routine for a long time now and have got great results almost every time.

My hair routine:
1. Pre-Poo
2. Shampoo
3. Condition
4. Style with Flax Seed Gel

1. Pre-Poo
I always pre-poo with a mixture of coconut oil + castor oil on my scalp and coconut oil throughout the lengths of my hair. I apply it the moment I return from work to give it a good 2-3 hours before washing.

I love the coconut and castor oil from Virgin Shakti.

Coconut Oil (500 ml): Rs. 150

2. Shampoo
I've used shampoos with sulphate and without. IMO, the difference is not worlds apart!

I used the OGX Kukui Oil Shampoo(sulphate free) for a large part but I ran out of it a while ago. After a bit of debate with myself, I decided to start experimenting with a sulphate shampoo and got myself a small bottle of the L'oreal Paris Smooth Intense Smoothing Shampoo'. Honestly, I'm just as happy with this one as I was with the OGX one!

It's always great to use sulphate free shampoos but you can easily get away with using shampoos containing sulphates too. The key thing here is to dilute your sulphate shampoo to an extent that it ends up extremely mild.

Here's how I do it:
I take a 200 ml bottle, fill up about half a cm worth of shampoo and fill the rest with water. This dilutes the shampoo tremendously and will not leave your hair dry after wash.

This comes with a huge price difference(and we're leaning towards the more affordable one here)

3. Conditioning
There are a ton of conditioners in the market but it's about finding the least harsh one that's also easy on your pocket.

The 'L'oreal Paris Smooth Intense Smoothing Conditioner' is my absolute favourite when it comes to affordable conditioners.
It's silicone free
It has good slip and helps detangle
Leaves my hair moisturised without any residue
If you haven't already tried it, I would urge you to start with a small bottle.

4. Styling with Flax Seed Gel
